Feb. 15, 2012. UP Sunken Garden. 5:30pm nagstart na magpapasok ng mga tao sa entrance. I was at the command center selling the SOD’s >« Kontra Kultura Shirt.. Habang lumalapit ang 6pm lalo akong naeexcite. THIS IS THE BIG NIGHT!!! Katuparan ng mga pangarap at testimony kung gano kaFaithful ang LORD.

As the concert starts, padami din ng padami ang tao. Nung una feeling ko ang konti palang. Natanong ko nga sa cell leader ko kung ganun lang ba talaga ang tao every year sa fair. sabi nya “Oo, usually ganito lang tlga kadami ung tao.”, kung ieestimate nasa 200-300 palang ang tao (Estimation ko yun, hindi ko alam kung tama estimation ko :D). That was around 7:30pm. 

Lumabas ako ng C.Center para ibigay ung >« shirt ng cell leader ko. Napatingin ako bigla sa langit then, i was just so AMAZED! Ang DAMING STARS!! as in! ung tipong walang bagyo! (Pero sabi sa balita nung Tuesday night, uulanin daw ang Wednesday night. Night ng KONTRAKULTURA.) Sabi ko sa co12 ko (Trixia) “Grabe talaga si LORD no? Unstoppable.”

8:00pm, dumami bigla ung tao, Quest was singing. Sa entrance ang haba na ng pila, humaba din ung pila sa ticket booth.

And when 8:30pm strikes, the crowd was just amazing. Gary V. performs and everything was just GREAT!! Super anointed lang.. :) Nakaka-amaze lang yung mga tao kasi super responsive sila. One friend told me “Grabe ung audience, ang responsive, unlike last year’s fair pag hindi rakrakan ung bandang kumakanta patay yung mga tao.” At the back of my head, I was telling to myself, “Well, yan ang nagagawa ng anointing. :)”

Nakailang songs nadin si Gary V. nang biglang umambon. SHOCKS umaambon!I don’t know why pero nag worry ako. nagPanic. Tumingala ako, nawala yung mga stars na nakita ko earlier. Natabunan ng madaming ulap. Makapal na ulap.Bigla akong napa-pray. “LORD, please stop the rain. Kontrolin mo po yung ulap na may dalang ulan.” Naglabasan ng payong yung mga audience. Napansin ni Gary V., napatanong tuloy sya, “Umuulan ba?” sabay segway na yung ulan daw “dramatic” sabay pasok ng susunod nyang kanta. Ang galing lang. :)

Then after ilang minutes, nawala yung ambon, deep inside naAmaze nanaman ako. Para lang akong bata na every time feeling ko nririnig ng Lord ung prayers ko, napapaWOW ako. :D Kaso, few minutes passed, umambon ulit!! Tingin ko mas malakas kesa sa naunang ambon, eto nanaman si PANIC QUEEN! Napatanong ako sa co12 (Kuya 
Richard) ko kung may payong sya, “Oo meron, kaso ayokong ilabas.” sagot nya sabay smile na parang may mini-mean. Nagets ko na! “Ahh, kasi hindi matutuloy yung ulan!!! Oo sige wag mo na ilabas.” Then God spoke to me, trust in Him because He is just FAITHFUL katulad nga ng paulit ulit ko nang sinasabi sa sarili ko. Saka hello, night kaya Niya yon, so why uulan? and why to panic daba? :D feeling ko nabatukan ako at natauhan. :DD

Tapos biglang humina yung ambon, yung ambon na parang snow ang dating sa mata ko sa sinag ng spot light. Sabay change light effects sa stage.

ANG ANGASSS!!! Sobrang ganda ng effect! Parang biglang huminto ung oras. Antahimik ng crowd. As Gary V. sings a heart touching song (sorry nakalimutan ko na kung ano yung song na kinakanta nya dyan.), ninanamnam lang ng mga tao ung moment. Grabe lang. :) ♥

 Hours passed and the DATE WITH DESTINY is just great! The best Valentine date I’ve ever had. The LORD is just the center of everything.

Kumanta na karamihan ng artist. 1pm call time ng SOD Band, sumabay na kaming Dance Rage para magpray at magRecall ng steps (Fireworks-Destiny Band). After practice pumunta kaming backstage, si Yeng na ang nagpeperform. Super galing nya talaga. Super anointed din! But what caught me is her passion para kay Lord at yung humbleness nya. Super bait nya. :) Pumayag pa sya na may magpropose sa time ng performance nya. Super down to earth and God fearing. :)

Tapos na si Yeng, Spongecola at From the Author. SOD BAND NAAAA!!! :) Nag-uwian na karamihan ng mga tao dahil almost 4am nadin. Karamihan nalang sa mga natira ay SOD. This is our time to PARTY!! :D

After the song “Firework”, SOD Band plays the song “Heart of Worship” which really touched my heart. Dun totally nag-sink in  sa utak ko kung gaano kalaki yung gabi nayun. Not because it is a BIG concert and we are the one who worked hard for it, but because i have really understand how GOD works. He is just an amazing GOD. That moment, when the music fades, all is stripped away, and I simply come. Longing just to bring, something that’s of worth, that will bless HIS heart. We have brought more than a song for a song in itself is not what He have required. God search much deeper within, through the ways things appear. He’s looking into our hearts.

We have just come back to the heart of worship that moment. And for me, that was the BEST part of that DATE WITH DESTINY. To really acknowledge the power of God in our lives, in our ministry, in all our plans and decisions. To know that GOD really, fulfill His promises, and help you to fulfill your dreams no matter how impossible that is. That night in the Fair will never be possible without the help, without the guidance, without the protection, without the intervention of our GOD.

The “KONTRAKULTURA: A Date with Destiny” is not just a concert. Its the fulfillment of every SOD’s dream. To bless many people and to glorify GOD. That night is not for the name of the org. but for the name of our UNSTOPPABLE GOD. JESUS CHRIST!! :)
